I’ll never get tired of driving up to the beautiful Golden Ears Park in Maple Ridge, BC from the Fraser Valley area.

I recently met Clare and John after they chose me to capture their upcoming elopement, and we had the sweetest Golden Ears Park engagement session! We started at one of my favourite spots, the Spirea Nature Trail, for a little walk among the towering trees and beautiful greenery. Then we made our way to Alouette Lake, where we captured some gorgeous photos with the lake and mountains creating the perfect backdrop.

But the sweetest part of their story happened even before their engagement session. John and Clare didn’t have an engagement ring yet, so John decided to surprise Clare with a proposal before their photos! He took her down to the beach and secretly kept the ring tucked inside a Fishermans Friend cough drop packet before getting down on one knee, How cute is that?!

I’m so excited to capture their elopement very soon and hear even more about their love story at their wedding!
